Justice for a Thousand of Girls Like Khatera

Impact Campaign

Khatera believes the silence surrounding incest and rape should be broken. That’s why she invited the camera into her life, and how she found the courage to overcome her fear to fight for justice.

But Khatera’s story shows that justice is not enough. Even after her father is convicted, she is not safe – her uncles pursue her and threaten to kill her, forcing her to leave the country.

Khatera’s courageous testimony is a unique and powerful advocacy tool for activists, lawyers and policy makers campaigning for women’s rights.

We are currently in the research and development stage of our campaign, building partnerships and raising funds, to work with the film in Afghanistan and internationally, at a grass roots and policy making level.
